Acceptable Use Policy

1. Permitted Use

You may use Elimora solely for the following purposes:

• Creating and maintaining a teacher profile to seek employment at private or international schools in Kenya.
• Searching for, reviewing, and contacting teachers for genuine hiring purposes.
• Managing your subscription, account settings, and profile.
• Browsing the public teacher directory for informational purposes.

2. Prohibited Activities

The following are strictly prohibited on the Platform:

Fraudulent or Misleading Conduct

• Submitting false, inaccurate, or fabricated information — including fake TSC numbers, National ID numbers, or qualifications.
• Impersonating another teacher, school, institution, or individual.
• Creating multiple accounts to circumvent subscription requirements or verification processes.
• Uploading documents that belong to another person.

Unauthorised Data Use

• Using teacher contact information obtained through the Platform for any purpose other than legitimate employment.
• Sharing, selling, or distributing teacher data to third parties without consent.
• Scraping, harvesting, or extracting data beyond your authorised access level through automated means.
• Using school or teacher data for marketing, research, or commercial purposes without consent.

Harmful or Illegal Content

• Uploading, posting, or transmitting content that is defamatory, discriminatory, harassing, or hateful.
• Sharing content that infringes on any third-party intellectual property rights.
• Introducing malware, viruses, or malicious code to the Platform or its users.
• Engaging in any activity that violates the Kenya Data Protection Act, 2019, or any other applicable Kenyan law.

Platform Integrity

• Attempting to access accounts, systems, or data that you are not authorised to access.
• Circumventing or tampering with the Platform’s authentication, payment, or verification mechanisms.
• Taking any action that places an unreasonable load on the Platform’s infrastructure.

3. Content Standards

All content you submit to the Platform — including profile information, uploaded documents, and communications — must:

• Be accurate, complete, and not misleading.
• Relate only to your own professional information and credentials.
• Not contain the personal information of others without their explicit consent.
• Comply with all applicable Kenyan laws.

4. Consequences of Violation

Violation of this policy may result in one or more of the following actions, at our sole discretion:

• A formal warning.
• Removal of the offending content or profile.
• Temporary suspension of your account.
• Permanent termination of your account without refund.
• Referral to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) for credential fraud.
• Referral to law enforcement authorities for serious violations.

5. Reporting Violations

If you encounter content or behaviour that appears to violate this policy, please report it to abuse@elimora.ke. All reports are handled confidentially. We do not tolerate retaliation against users who make good-faith reports.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a platform notice. Continued use of the Platform constitutes acceptance of any updated policy.
